About Megan Fulden

MSW, LCSW, LCAS (she/her)

Megan attended North Carolina State University for her undergraduate studies, where she earned a degree in social work. She went on to obtain her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where she specialized in psychotherapy and mental health care. Her background includes providing clinical care in hospitals, hospices, and group practice settings. Megan has experience in providing family, group, and individual therapy. Common presenting issues include relationship stressors, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and identity exploration.

 

Additionally, Megan serves as a mentor with the North Carolina Society for Clinical Social Work and holds a certificate from the National Association of Social Workers NC Chapter in clinical supervision. She is trained in EMDR and holds dual licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida, and as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) in North Carolina.

​Fun facts: Megan was born and raised right here in North Carolina. When she’s not working, you can usually find her hosting book club, cuddling with her two tabby cats, walking her pup on the American Tobacco Trail with her spouse and kiddo, watching a scary movie, or catching up on the latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé. She also enjoys board games, hiking, and coffee, coffee, coffee!

  • Seeking Safety — An evidence-based model for treatment of trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and substance abuse developed by Lisa M. Najavits, PhD.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) —Trained by an accredited EMDR International Association's (EMDRIA) provider.

  • Gottman Method Couples Therapy — Level 1 Training from The Gottman Institute.

  • Clinical Supervision Certificate — The National Association of Social Workers, NC Chapter (NASW-NC)
